The cylinder kit with 63 mm bore is tailored to the Vespa PX T 5 in the full year range from 1985 to 1993. The displacement is 178 cm3. Redesigned fluid dynamics with profiled transfer channels align the gas flow in the inlet and support uniform scavenging and efficient combustion.

Revised cylinder and channel geometry

The inlet channels are designed for high turbulence. The rear transfer channels have a double slope profile (1-2) that uses the Coandà effect and increases the flow rate compared to conventional designs. The exhaust has also been redesigned with a redesigned profile and a wider ignition setting for an orderly flow of gas towards the exhaust.

Two-ring piston and cylinder head

The two-ring piston with Ø 63 was developed for high operating temperatures. Its profile supports uniform guidance in the liner, reduces the clearance between piston and cylinder and reduces the risk of seizing. The two piston rings ensure uniform sliding and tightness against the pressures generated in the combustion chamber.

The hemispherical cylinder head features redesigned, twisted cooling fins and an inclined, yet central position of the spark plug. Two centering bushings support the precise connection of head and cylinder; Both components are separated exclusively by an O-ring.
