The POLINI fuel system combines a large universal Ø 30 CP carburettor with a reed valve. The system is assigned to the Vespa PX E Arcobaleno 200 in the full year range from 1981 to 1997 and represents a more powerful alternative to the original fuel system.

Function and execution

The carburettor is made of die-cast light metal and has a chrome-plated light metal flat valve. This design improves the sliding properties and abrasion resistance of the valve. Each individual CP carburettor undergoes careful control of the fuel level in the float chamber. This supports consistent parameters for the carburettor setting.

Special features of the slat manifold

The finned manifold allows a larger carburettor to be accommodated in the Vespa. In addition, the reed valve allows the engine to be used even if the intake valve is worn. The system thus combines the enlarged carburetor intake with a constructive solution for the intake area.
