MALOSSI crankshaft for Vespa PK S Electric Starter 125

This MALOSSI crankshaft is designed for the Vespa PK S Electric Starter 125 in the full year range from 1983 to 1991. It works with a rotating valve and takes on a central function in the drive: the crankshaft guides the movement of the connecting rod and piston and at the same time controls the intake via the crankshaft control.

Structure and function

The version connects a crankshaft with a ø 15 bolt, a 97 connecting rod, a 51 mm stroke and a ø 20 cone. In the version for engines with a rotating valve inlet, the intake phase is integrated into the inner half crank. The resulting shape supports targeted flow guidance in the intake area.

Constructive features

The connecting rod in the “Viper Head” shape is designed for low weight with the required rigidity. To increase the stability of the shaft, MALOSSI uses tungsten parts as counterweights. The design of the thread on the gearbox side as well as the position and shape of the key were also tailored to the load capacity of the crankshaft. The scope of delivery includes special nuts.

The crankshaft fits the Vespa PK S Electric Starter 125, built between 1983 and 1991. The product is intended exclusively for racing in designated locations in accordance with the regulations of the relevant sports authorities. No liability is assumed for improper use.
