PUIG Z-Racing screen for sporty aerodynamics

The Z-Racing screen from PUIG gives the 2018 KAWASAKI ZX-10RR NINJA PERFORMANCE a distinctive racing line and at the same time improves the aerodynamic protection compared to the original screen. Its double height directs the wind over the helmet and upper torso, while side channels direct the airflow outwards, reducing pressure in the shoulder area.

Developed and manufactured in Barcelona, the disc is designed to be robust, lightweight and durable. The rounded edge corresponds to the specified safety test of the German TÜV. An image-based testing system is used as part of quality control.

Tested in the virtual wind tunnel

PUIG tested the Z-Racing screen in the virtual wind tunnel for its drag coefficient and aerodynamic protection for the driver. Compared to the original model, the average improvement in aerodynamic protection with the upper body in an upright position is 12.7 percent. In racing position an improvement of 61 percent is reported.

The shape combines an aggressive look that matches the sporty motorcycle line with functional wind guidance. PUIG is thus directly implementing its specialization in precisely developed motorcycle components into a vehicle-specific racing screen.
