MALOSSI H20 I-Tech cylinder set with Ø 63 mm

The H20 I-Tech cylinder set is intended for the Piaggio Medley 125 IE ABS built between 2019 and 2026. With a bore of Ø 63 mm, a stroke of 58.7 mm and 183 cm³ displacement, it offers a clearly defined technical configuration for competition use.

Function and execution

The cylinder is made of a primary aluminum alloy with a high proportion of hardened and tempered silicon. Its liner has a silicon carbide coating in an electroplated nickel die. The surface is finished by cross-smoothing with two passes of diamond and very tight tolerances. Cylinder and piston are matched to each other with a clearance of 0.05 mm. Newly calculated heat exchange surfaces complement the design.

The lightweight, reinforced piston is ultra-compact and equipped with three rings. It consists of a special aluminum alloy with a high silicon content and low thermal expansion. There is a tin coating on the sliding surfaces. Cylinders and pistons are machined on numerically controlled precision machine tools.
