The design protects the water pump, housings and linkage. The PE-HD plastic does not generate any vibrations and is not subject to deformation. With a weight of 1.5kg, the underrun protection offers a lightweight design compared to a similar aluminum mudguard: the polyethylene plastic used is 30-40% lighter.
