Comprehensive Paris-Dakar conversion kit with travel and protection components

This comprehensive kit combines the complete Paris-Dakar conversion with coordinated accessories for luggage, ergonomics, protection, exhaust and tail design. The shorter tank supports a seating position further forward and a greater load on the front wheel, which reduces the feeling of distance from the handlebars.

Paris-Dakar basic kit

Saddle and side panels

Luggage and pillion ride

• Passenger handles: Made of steel with a matt black epoxy powder coating. They complement the rear, provide support for the passenger and can be used to attach bags or luggage straps. The handles are compatible with Unit Garage and original BMW saddlebag frames.
• Back pocket: Handcrafted in Italy from full grain leather and stitched with nylon thread. Dimensions: 200 × 280 mm, height 150 mm. The necessary mounting hardware is included.
• Luggage rack plate: Matt black epoxy coated aluminum plate for the rear frame. It expands the loading area when the passenger seat is removed and is supplied with fastening screws and non-slip rubber pads. It can be installed together with the Unit Garage luggage rack.
• Tool bag: Black cotton and leather bag. Open dimensions: 20 × 36 cm; rolled: 20 × 10 cm. Tools are not included.

Front, protection and ergonomics

• Headlight protection grille: Removable and can be installed without changing the original parts. Note: Not approved for road traffic.
• Windshield and front fender: Complete set made of ABS, based on the design of the R80 GS PD. It offers aerodynamic protection and is installed on the motorcycle without any modifications. Instructions, brackets and mounting screws are included.
• Crash bar: Made of highly durable powder-coated steel and integrated into the frame. Spacers and screws are included. Most maintenance work can be carried out without dismantling the bracket.
• Ergonomic handlebars: Old-school style tubular steel handlebar with crossbar, constant diameter of 22mm and matt black epoxy powder coating. It is the same height as the original handlebar, but offers a more relaxed grip position. Installation is carried out on the original risers and controls; heated grips remain compatible.
• Handlebar pad: Black leather padding for the handlebar crossbar, length 26 cm and diameter 6 cm.
• Handlebar ends: Pair of CNC machined bar ends with gloss black finish and Unit Garage logo. The two mounting screws are included.

Rear conversion and exhaust

• Rear fender with license plate holder: ABS fender with specially developed aluminum license plate holder and integrated LED light. The modular system includes license plate and indicator brackets that can be removed for different positioning.
• Electrics: Plug-and-play wiring with connectors; No soldering or modifications to the original wiring harness are required. A stainless steel screw set is included.
• Mounting options: The rear fender can also be mounted with the original saddle and with or without a passenger frame.
• High silencer: Stainless steel connectors and fully handcrafted Moto GP style titanium muffler. It weighs around 2.8 kg less than the original and has a removable dB killer.
• Exhaust assembly: Mounting on the original anti-vibration bracket with the passenger frame attached. If the passenger frame is removed, a separate bracket is required.
• Carbon heat protection is not included.
