Comprehensive care for canvas, leather and split leather

This care set bundles various products for the regular cleaning, impregnation and preparation of accessories, bags and jackets made of canvas, smooth leather or split leather. Which product should be used must be decided based on the respective material and the associated application instructions.

Scope of delivery

• Cotton bag with Unit Garage logo
• Waterproofing spray
• Block of solid wax
• A tube of black or brown color cream, 50 ml
• Soft cleaning brush with wooden handle
• Brush with brass bristles and wooden handle for split leather
• Cleaning disc, 100 × 60 mm and 8 mm thick
• Microfiber cloth

Impregnation

The waterproofing spray is intended for accessories, bags and jackets made of leather, canvas or split leather. If necessary, first clean the item with warm, clear water. The spray can be used on damp or dry fabric.

• Shake bottle before use.
• Spray evenly from a distance of 10 to 15 cm.
• Wipe with a clean, damp cloth to improve distribution and reduce waste.
• For optimal results, allow to dry for 12 hours.

Attention: Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid eye and prolonged skin contact. Use only in a well-ventilated area.

Solid wax treatment

For regularly used accessories, bags or jackets, the manufacturer recommends resealing at least once a year. A soft cloth or sponge and a heat source are required for processing.

• Remove dirt and sand.
• Clean with sponge and cold water.
• Do not use soap or detergents.
• Do not machine wash, dry clean, iron or tumble dry.
• Work in a warm room or outside in the sun.
• Place the item in the sun or near a heat source.
• Spread the wax carefully and evenly with a cloth or sponge.
• Treat seams and folds with particular care.
• Rub well and avoid excess wax.
• Dry with a hairdryer after waxing for an even finish.
• Then hang in a warm place overnight.

Color cream for smooth leather

The black or brown color cream is used to cover scratches and scuffs on smooth leather. It must not be used on split leather.

• Clean the area to be treated.
• Massage the cream in with a sponge and allow it to absorb.
• Let dry for 15 minutes.
• Polish with a soft cloth.

Brushes and cleaning disc

The soft brush allows for even, scratch-free brushing. The polishing and cleaning brush with brass bristles is intended for the care of split leather. The cleaning disc removes glue and sticky residue from leather or split leather: apply light pressure to the area and then clean with a soft cloth.
