Comprehensive PARIS DAKAR GR86 conversion package with travel accessories

This comprehensive kit combines the complete PARIS DAKAR GR86 body conversion with components for ergonomics, luggage transport, front and rear styling as well as exhaust and protection. The shorter tank brings the seating position closer to the handlebars and supports greater load on the front wheel. The painted body panels come ready to install with graphics under the clear coat.

PARIS DAKAR GR86 basic kit

22.5 liter nylon tank

• Shorter design for a driving position further forward
• Capacity: 22.5 liters
• Calculated range of around 400 km with an average consumption of 17.7 km/l
• 1.7kg lighter than the original tank
• Finished in White, Urban G/S Bright White and Red with graphics under the clear coat
• All tank mounting brackets included

The original tank cap, fuel pump and activated carbon filter are retained. The reserve warning light continues to work. No changes to these original parts are necessary and the conversion is completely reversible.

Two-piece saddle

The comfortable saddle is delivered complete and consists of a driver and passenger part. The rear section can be quickly removed using the included key to increase luggage space when traveling solo. The saddle height is 850 mm and therefore corresponds to the original Urban G/S.

ABS side panels

The molded side panels feature a white and red finish with graphics underneath the clear coat. Mounting brackets, screws and vibration dampers are included.

Ergonomics and cockpit

• Ergo handlebars: Old-school version made of steel with crossbar, constant diameter of 22 mm and matt black epoxy powder coating. It has the same height as the original handlebar, but offers a more relaxed grip position. Installation on the original risers and controls is provided; heated grips remain compatible.
• Handlebar ends: Pair of CNC machined handlebar ends in glossy black with Unit Garage logo and two M12 mounting screws.
• Handlebar pad: Black leather padding for the handlebar crossbar. Length 26 cm, diameter 6 cm.

Front conversion and protection

• Windshield and high front fender: Complete set made of ABS with raised headlight bracket. The design takes up the look of the R80 GS PD and is adapted for the R nineT. The assembly takes place without any changes to the motorcycle. Instructions, brackets and screws are included.
• Headlight protection grille: Removable and can be installed without changing the original parts. Not approved for road traffic.
• Engine protection bar: Steel construction with durable powder coating. Spacer bushes and screws are included. Most maintenance work can be done without removing the bracket.

Rear, luggage and passenger

• Passenger handles: Made of steel with a matt black epoxy powder coating. They complement the rear area, serve as a handle for the passenger and can also be used to attach bags or luggage straps. Compatible with Unit Garage and original BMW saddlebag frames.
• Back pocket: Bag handmade in Italy in full grain leather, stitched with nylon thread. Dimensions: 200 × 280 mm, height 150 mm.
• Luggage rack plate: Aluminum plate with matt black epoxy powder coating. It is attached to the rear frame and increases the loading area when the passenger seat is removed. Mounting screws and non-slip rubber pads are included.
• Tool bag: Black cotton and leather roll bag. Open 20 × 36 cm, rolled 20 × 10 cm. Tools are not included.

Rear fender and license plate holder

The ABS rear fender comes with all required mounting hardware and can also be mounted together with the original saddle and with or without a passenger frame. The specially developed aluminum license plate holder has integrated LED lighting. License plate and indicator brackets are modular and can be removed if different positioning is desired.

The electrical cabling is designed as a plug-and-play solution. Connectors allow assembly without soldering and without changing the original wiring. A stainless steel screw set is included.

High silencer

The tall exhaust combines stainless steel fittings with a fully handcrafted Moto GP style titanium rear silencer. It weighs around 2.8 kg less than the original and has a removable dB killer. The assembly is carried out on the original anti-vibration bracket and is intended with the passenger frame installed. If the passenger frame is removed, a separate bracket is required.

Scope of delivery and assembly

The package includes the PARIS DAKAR GR86 basic kit with tank, saddle and side panels as well as passenger grips, full grain leather bag, headlight guard, front conversion with windshield and mudguard, engine guard, rear mudguard with license plate holder, handlebar pad, handlebar ends, ergo handlebars, luggage rack plate, high silencer and tool bag. All parts required for the intended assembly as well as video instructions are included, with the exception of the tools that are expressly not included, the carbon heat protection and the separate exhaust bracket required when the passenger frame is removed.
