“Obiettivo Dakar” is dedicated to a race whose impact extends far beyond the sporting competition. The book traces the African beginnings of the Paris-Dakar using the personal stories of eight participants who intensively experienced its challenges and special moments.

Content

The focus is on the early editions of the Paris-Dakar, its protagonists and the legendary motorcycles with their characteristic colors, sponsors and graphics. The collected stories provide an insight into the adventures and experiences along the routes of Sabine's race.

One of the protagonists represented in the book is Fabio Marcaccini from Unit Garage. His stories and his work keep the myth of the race alive. Experiences from the Dakar and later rallies also form the basis for some of Unit Garage's ideas.
