MALOSSI aluminum cylinder kit with 63 mm for Vespa PX 125

The MALOSSI aluminum cylinder kit ø 63 aluminum CVF2 pin ø 15 Sport is intended for the Vespa PX 125 in the model year range 1978-2016. The version combines an aluminum cylinder with a nickel-chrome-coated cylinder liner and a racing piston.

Function and construction

The cylinder has a uniform wall thickness around the liner and openings. This supports controlled heat exchange. Aerodynamically profiled cooling fins are designed for an efficient flow of cooling air. The revised CVF openings have 7 connections and are designed for favorable flow guidance.

The connection to the exhaust is via a flange system with four head screws on the cylinder and an O-ring seal on the exhaust. The design is intended for exhaust systems with a 37 mm inlet diameter. The cylinder head is centered using precisely manufactured support surfaces.

Piston and cylinder head

The piston consists of a steel core with an aluminum and silicon alloy coating. Reinforcing ribs inside the piston skirt reduce weight while supporting the mechanically stressed areas. The cylinder head has a hemispherical combustion chamber and cooling fins that support the flow of heat to the outside and the supply of cooling air.
