PUIG brake cooler for the SUZUKI GSX-R 1000 R

The PUIG brake cooler supports the thermal relief of the front brake during heavy and repeated use. Its targeted air flow was developed for sporty driving situations in which brake discs, pads and brake calipers are subjected to heavy loads, especially at high outside temperatures.

Targeted cooling air for the brake system

The system, developed and manufactured in Barcelona, consists of two high-quality ABS plastic covers - one each for the brake disc and brake caliper unit. The shaped channels absorb the airflow, compress and accelerate it and direct it specifically to the brake pads and brake discs.

During race track tests, an average reduction in brake temperature of ten degrees was determined. As a result, the brake cooler counteracts excessive heating during intensive, continuous braking stress.

Functional design for sporting use

The partially lens-shaped cover was designed to reduce turbulence in the front wheel area. At the same time, their shape supports the aerodynamics of the motorcycle, especially at high speeds, and sets a sporty, independent accent.

The construction is designed for quick and easy assembly. To ensure a permanently secure fit, the specified tightening torque must be adhered to for the screws.
