MALOSSI crankshaft for the Vespa Primavera 125
This MALOSSI crankshaft is designed to drive the Vespa Primavera 125 with a rotating valve. It connects the guidance of the connecting rod and piston with the control of the intake via the crankshaft and thus forms a central component of the engine.
Design and function
In the version for engines with a rotating valve inlet, the intake phase is integrated into the half crank. The inwardly inclined design within the circular mass structure supports efficient fluid dynamics. For balancing, tungsten parts are used as counterweights, which contribute to the stability of the shaft.
