MALOSSI crankshaft for Vespa PK XL Rush 125

The MALOSSI crankshaft is designed for the Vespa PK XL Rush 125 built between 1988 and 1989. It features a reed valve design to support engines modified for a reed valve intake system instead of the original rotary valve.

Function and construction

The crankshaft takes over the movement control of the connecting rod and piston and at the same time acts on the intake control of the engine. The full collar version has a specially designed drive side rear to facilitate the intake of fresh gases into the lower motor housing. Tungsten inserts ensure shaft balance.

The crankshaft is made from hardened, vacuum-melted steel of aeronautical quality. The connecting rod is designed for high load capacity. A finer thread on the axle on the drive side and a revised position of the key contribute to the robustness of the construction.

Vehicle assignment and installation instructions

Suitable for Vespa PK XL Rush 125, built between 1988 and 1989. For installation, the crankshaft seat on the ignition side of the engine housing must be drilled to Ø 87. The execution is intended exclusively for competitions at designated locations in accordance with the regulations of the relevant sports authorities.
